FEMA continues to fund rebuilding in flood zones, yet government makes no attempt to re-direct flash flood water to reservoirs! Belief in God allows government to ignore the future. Aloha!

It's just one of those nonsensical things I can't explain, Rico. Why are we subsidizing rebuilding in flood zones? Beats me!

All that fresh water going to waste instead of being redirected to reservoirs! Aloha!

Wow! I did not know that, Jenna. I do know that natural disasters are rather commonplace these days. The heat in the western part of the U.S. is most troubling...and, perhaps, most revealing!

Well, so far the water has never gotten up to my front porch, but we do have a low area across the street that fills up with water. I worry about the feral cats that live over there.

It's certainly a cause concern when the waters start rising, here in the uk flooding seems to be getting worse, many river towns have had to have flood barriers installed to help keep the water at bay. Tom

A reality that garnered much attention in Kentucky through its devastation and loss of life. You bring this event true to life Milton in such few words that convey an enormous amount of tragedy and destruction. I hope everything is in control and these currents are being managed to not cause any more destruction. This Poetry I am sure hit home in writing being in the state and knowing the destruction it caused. Hope it is over Milton...

I certainly do, too, Michael, but I'm afraid it isn't. Seems flooding is becoming a major issue around the world, and I wonder about those expensive housing communities along the Mississippi River, which is noted for changing its course from time to time.

How about a WPA Project to pipeline that excess to the West...Innovation thru tradition...Thanks, Mr. Milton.

Arlo, I'm absolutely certain many fine folks in southeastern Kentucky would have gladly done so during the recent disastrous flooding there. Thanks for your comment.
