High Up

I can climb trees all day
At night I will rest
Every tree I climb
Is different
Some have ants or bees on it
Some have thorns
Some have branches only birds can climb
Some move from side to side
Some are slippery like your bathroom floor
Some are cautious and sweet
Some are violent and hostile
Some catch the moon at night
Some shelter you from the rain
When you climb
You never want to stop
Until you are at the top
Then you can fly down
With wings unclipped
You don’t care
Where you land
