High School Crush

I first saw you in the school library. your dark head was stuck in a book, trying to get your attention I sat next to you, you looked up and your blue eyes melted me, my knees were shaking and wanted to flee. We had a whispering conversation for a while because we were in the library to study and didn't want to be removed by Mrs. Smith who gave us the evil eye each time we spoke, it was fun to upset her and provoke. My high school crush turned into a steady, we exchanged rings for all the world to see we swore to be together no matter what, high school dances and roller skating dates, enjoying each other as teenage mates. Graduation occurred and my love was drafted, you gave me an engagement ring to cherish, a promise that you would return and marry me, one day you appeared at my front door, proclaiming your steadfast love forevermore.
