Hier Et Aujourd'Hui

she was there , and i was there
so calming her voice was
i said i wanted her near
every answer was always just because

she'd asked me what she meant to me
i couldn't answer , so i look at her
i'd ask her what she wanted to be
she said she wants me to be sure

so i took her face gently in my hand
i took a look into her dark brown eyes
losing her is the one thing i can't stand
do we have a love that never dies 

i loved the way she'd laugh 
it'd always make me smile
no girl compares not even by half
i'd only wish she'd stay a while

but as yesterday fades to blue
our love seems to go
yesterday day it was i love you
today , it's i don't know

i try to let you know how i feel
but from a distance its hard
now all i can do is deal
with knowing my heart is scarred
