Hiding Dino
trying to disguise or hide my dinosaur
made my mind weak and sore
I tried to camouflage him as a tent
hundreds of dollars not aptly spent
I made him a costume, dressed him as a tree
He laughed, danced, wiggled, and said “look at me!”
He spoke English? This was an enormous shock.
I had brought him from a Swede way down the block.
Why not let me be me? The dinosaur suggested.
This idea had all of my ideas totally bested.
The neighbor kids now come over to play.
Each one walks Dino on a different day.
