Hiding Behind a Mask
Hiding Behind A Mask
Everything seems different,
In the eyes of a child.
Danger, strife, and trouble,
Are seldom ever allowed.
A rosier point of view,
Clouds what they see.
No evil can be seen,
That’s apparent to you and me.
Children live in a dream world,
Not able to see around the bend,
Easily they become targets,
Every now and then.
To thief’s of innocents,
To criminals of the soul,
And though we try to protect them,
The damage takes it toll.
Our children, the future of tomorrow,
Are forced to grow-up fast.
From strangers, family, and friends,
Who hide behind a mask.
