Hide and Seek

She says play hide and seek
she says it will be fun
so I hide quietly under the bed
Until the counting is all done
5...4...3...2...1...
Ready or not here she comes
My heart beat is so loud it seems
It's pounds inside my head
Until the sound of creeking feet
Start coming towards the bed
These feet aren't hers
These feet are bigger
I lay there contemplating
Who
When
Where
And how
Until the feet just creek away
My heartbeat begins to slow
But
The next thing that I know
Is the feeling of my heart dropping
From my chest Down to my toes
As he drags me from beneath the bed
With watching eyes I see her stare
Not a smile not a frown
Does she even care
My close were torn my heart was broke
And still the memories I can't bear
All it was is a painful waiting game
Leaving me with nothing
But the feeling of hurt, hate and shame.
