Hide and Seek

Once upon a time I lived “over there”
Walking, talking, living, breathing
Emotionally I roamed around
In a fog that was my life

Daily rituals increased with time
The longer it took, more lost I became
Don’t move this, straighten that
Some days worse than others

I did some things for which I’m not proud
Struggled to get things right
Time has come, let darkness fade
Calling upon His name, begging for His light

Tag, you’re it, or do I give up?
Oh no, I surrendered
Gone from You long enough
I’ve given my life to honor You
