Hidden Wisdom

Lead me to the brook of hidden wisdom
Where the wise have strayed far away from.
Let me drink of the brook of mysterious wisdom,
Where obvious fools have become wise.

The wisdom of this world is foolish,
The wise have become foolish
For they have drunk from the brook of mere wisdom
And their throats are dry again.

That my faith stands not in the wisdom of men,
For the wisdom of men are but a stagnant emblem
But in God, my faith stands still,
He is the flowing stream of hidden wisdom and grace
