Hidden bloom

Off the shore of a greenish land
I walked beside, laughing band
A jasmine white one brushed my hand
I placed a kiss, both soft and planned

Her cheeks aflame, her body swayed
I stole a peck as sunlight played
Red and pale like evening’s fire
What’s the fuss? Just teasing desire

Then came a thought, a sudden spin
Had I shimmered a line unseen?
Her hidden bloom.. oh! I’m unsure
Laughed it off and walked once more.

Loved the walk, beautiful rhymes, playful light imagery ~ very uplifting, Jenish. Enjoyed this juxtaposition: ‘Red and pale like evening’s fire.’ ThkU for posting. Light to Saudi from South Africa.
