Hidden
As dusk fell on his mind, he stopped to regain himself. He could see only darkness looming, pulling him closer. He had experienced from before and knew well this icy presence. A chill raced within his being as he tensed to fight its grasp. He closed his eyes but the memory was alive, racing to be free. Unbridled, as if let out for the first time in many caged nights. Amid the disorder in his head, constant energy seemed to hum without pattern. Hiding in the seclusion of shadows, there was an end in the distance, highlighted by sparse, lifeless light. His mind raced. "How can I be there, and here? If I break free, I will escape this maze in which I am hidden."
