Hey That's My Balloon

I'm making an observation Bout the state of the world today This is what I've come up with In my own inimitable way Maybe it's cuz I'm an old guy It seems there's much more strife There doesn't seem, like years ago As much laughter in everyone's life I know there'll always be conflict Somewhere around the world This nation or that one gets aggressive Controversy begins to swirl Then one country threatens the other Military action follows soon We're like a bunch of nasty children Yelling “Hey that's my balloon!” Seems like there isn't a cure for this But there's always hope I guess That mankind will see the utter futility And realize it doesn't make any sense!

...thou'st right on....reminded me of the oldt childhood psycho-logical survival school yard days that some political leaders (t-rump, for one) today still reflect....it's always 'their' corner of the yard or classroom....having been a teacher it is amazing how some leaders act/think/talk like kids......i can't even watch tv......stan ....stan

...yessir....too many powerful people use adolescent and/or immature psycho-logics to/with/on the public.....especially with respect 'modern' parents and their kids.....times change but the underlying constants (recycling truths, etc) don't change.....people must pass through their social 'self' so their real-eyes realize realities actual unseen mechanics that make-up a "legible but irrational world based on truths"

Don't hold your breath dear Jeanette! It seems to be heading in the wrong direction :( There is always hope!

I agree...life does sometimes seem like an exercise in futility unless one has the hope that you mention. The world is unstable, its instability could be its demise. Hmmm...me thinks this is too much to think about this early in the morning :-) Thanks for sharing your thoughts, hugs, Sara
