He's No Longer Yours But Mine

6 Feb 2011 12:45 pm

Drowning my emotions
While swimming in lifes oceans

Amidst an armada of failures and fears
Cannons fireing accusations and insults and stinging tears

Swords of words are slicing at my soul and stabbing at my heart
Gaffs that hook and pull me tareing me apart

What can I do my boat has sank and the sharks await their meal
Alas I see a hand stretched out not to hurt but heal

The thunder of the cannons echo on and the pinging of the sword
The gaffs still reaching and grabbing to pull me back on board

The hand that saved me holds me surely and yet kindly
His messangers sent forth proclaiming he's no longer yours but Mine.

That was many years ago and in His army I gladly serve
He is the one who saved me from a fate I did deserve
