Hero

I handed you my heart
Even gave you the lock and key
You turned around abandoned me
Then wouldn't set me free
I gave you the rope
To rescue me from my guarded tower
You took that rope and strangled me
To show me you had the power
Time went by it ticked away
You were nowhere to be seen
As days turned to night
Than night back in to day
I plotted desperately
If I was to ever escape
I quickly learned
I'd have to be my own hero.
