Hermit

I want to be a hermit,
Live a life without permits;
No whiny pompous fools,
No busybodies spouting rules,
No evening nightly news
Telling me the proper views
By which I should live.

I long to be a hermit,
I don't need anyone to confirm it.
A life alone need not be solitary
With faeries in the boxberry
And forest friends to visit,
While Pixies in white-flowered privets
Entertain me with mischievous fun.

This 'Hermitage' sounds like a great place for someone with an 'Imagination Cap!' Ah, to be young again... :) gw

If only I could be young again. In my retirement I am not a hermit, although I am quite a home body!
