Here We Go
And here we go...Again, it seems
We head to where we've been.
It's where you run, to hide the most;
Suit up, I'll grab my pen.
For when you run, I'm left with thoughts;
So, I begin to write..
I find my peace. You search for yours.
In dark you stay; no light
It matters not, what you may think
The heartaches in your past;
They're yesterday, not here today.
They come, but they don't last.
Things you may do, though choose it not,
You make my heart so sad.
Did you shut down and start to run,
The year you lost your dad?
It matters not. It matters now!
If you choose NOW, today.
The days gone by...can't get them back;
Stop running, sis. Please stay.
If you will stay...just for awhile
I think you'll come to see;
The things of past and pain gone by,
They're gone. Free, you can be!
You see, what's here, what's always been;
A place to come home to.
A place to run. A place to fall.
It's finally home...with you.
