Here They Are

Used to fear the dentist
   and most things electronic
The mere thought of eyedrops
   produced pleading and histrionics

Trying new things or making a speech
standing before a class with nothing to teach...
Having to confess the many errors of my ways
left me utterly chagrined, embarassed to say --

"Here they are," all my flaws and my weak points
not realizing I was about to greatly disappoint --
Only myself, and not any others; for that is
how to dig yourself a mountain from a molehill
~ my dear sisters and brothers...

Pretty self-reflective) On the other hand, the self-reflection is one of the things we have in common with gods. The animals have not. Only few great apes, but they are almost humans)

Thank you, Kurt... I'll give myself a 'B' in 'Reflectology,' based on 'pretty self-reflective.' What say you, Professor?! ~ Gershon

Heh, heh: I think Maureen is the only one on the Soup who calls me 'Wolf Man,' actually. (Others did and do in 'real life.) ... Thanks for the encouragement on the poem, Mike. Happy Monday! ~ gw

I don't know. I could never be academic enough to be a professor, even a junior one. I'm just an instructor, a teacher. That's all I have ever 'professed' to being. LOL. Thanks, Line! :) gw

Thanks a lot, M.L. I was just hoping that it wouldn't sound too contrived, is all... :) gw
