Here It Is Again

For so long I thought I'd run,
Left all the death and wondered on,
Yet I see it's there again,
I don't want to feel that awful pain.

To many now have left this life,
All my friends, my joy, my light,
And though I still have my love and child,
I think of those death has defiled.

Four more soul's for immortal sleep,
Some to young and some to deep,
I can't cut or slice or cry,
I am watched by to many eye's.

As night ends I feel the chill,
I know that they are with me still,
Not to hurt or make me mad,
But to keep me safe and warm and glad.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
