Here Comes the Winter
Touch of the sunshine,
kiss of gold;
leaves have turned
organge and red bold!
lime green, tender green,
bright and now yellow!
lots of sunshine did they swallow?
dark and darker, the leaves go bolder
older; until to the winds they surrender
"i will drop them all!"
says the wind during the fall
rustle rustle winds blow;
leaf and leaves, I watch them go
lonely stands the tree;
as the leaves go spree.
cold and colder, its chilly there;
as the tree stands bare
soon they will be covered in a fleece blanky;
of snow soft, silky and shiny!
thats the care of mother nature;
hybernating trees in a restful slumber!
