Here At Your Doorstep

Awaiting, in participation,
of the time, coming near.
When whom, you truly love,
at your doorstep, will appear.

Tending, to how, one looks,
before placing fist, to knock, on door.
Nervous and jittery, but still happy,
holding onto, red roses bought, from store.

Courage gained, to announce, by pounding,
all of sudden, the door, opens wide.
Both loves, having heartfelt feelings,
for so long, has been, held inside.

An embrace, of impatient, passion given,
a huge hug, and a capturing kiss.
Red roses gathered, and put into a vase,
as the other, enters door, without a miss.

Finally, a dream is coming true,
of both loves, coming, to unite,
Finally, able after having, to wait,
viewing each other, in actual sight.
