Her World
Shes not like other girls,
although she tried to be
too old for her age,
too young for her misery
The mirror showed a face
of a girl who didnt care
and that was all the world
could see...exactly what was there
And not the person underneath,
the one who mattered more
but the longer it went unnoticed,
the easier it got to ignore.
She always carried wisdom
for whatever lessons life should bring
She wanted more from life,
though it seemed she had everything
She was beautiful
but beauty only goes so far
What goods a pretty face
if thats all you are
She kept her secrets silent
... the world wouldnt understand
why she couldn't face her life
without a bottle in her hand
Misery is silent- it traps you from yourself
while trying to find who you are
you become somebody else
So she conformed to be like the rest
or so thats how it seemed
it's easy to fake your own happiness
when nobody knows what it means
for a persons truth is seldom
the way it may appear
cause if you looked a little closer
you'd see she wasn't here
