Her Premise Unkept

America 2020, yet another Hell on Earth
   Her premise sadly unkept
The world-at-large simply shrugged

Well-written, Gershon. Yes, there's much wrong here, but you couldn't run me off with a stick! :-) Janice

OK. I won't use a stick on you, Janice. I will cook up some hot spaghetti strands and lash you til you cry Uncle! lol. Actually, I'm not going anywhere either. Faith and Hope, Gershon

Too many people are shrugging it off. Your thoughts are real, Gershon.

You're right. It's finally breaking and broken, though it's been crumbling bit by bit for a while now... Oh, well... All good things come to an end some time. Sigh. Thanks, Andrea. :) gw

Sometimes I wonder if the pandemic is payback for treating each other badly and destroying our planet. Your poem hits the nail on the head, Gershon! Hugs, Carolyn

Thank you so much for your encouragement, Carolyn... I just read a prose piece wondering the same thing you've wondered, i.e., if the pandemic is payback for how we've treated each other and the planet as well. Kudos to you! Joy and Light, Gershon

So much intellect in the world we are made to believe, yet where is it. Such profound poetry Ghershon, truly a mission statement..

Touching, deep, and so true, Gershon. You have the heart and pen of a true poet. Warmly, John

Thank you for your lovely comment, John. From someone else, I might suspect flattery. From you, I know it's sincere --- and that much more treasured! Best always, Gershon
