Her Pages Keep Turning

Her Pages Keep Turning
Copywrite 2017 M.P. Shaudd

She would have you believe
That you're more than just friends
Her hello comes quickly
But so does the end

Before sorrow befalls
The next waiting man
The chapters been written
Its already penned

Her pages keep turning, and turning again
What once was her future
Is the past once again
Her story is written in heartache not pen
She keeps turning the pages again and again

Each line that she writes
Makes each new man think
He's found Heaven on Earth
But she's used invisible ink

You think you will see
Eternity bloom
But she's already written
The chapter on you

Her pages keep turning, and turning again
What once was her future
Is the past once again
Her story is written in heartache not pen
She keeps turning the pages again and again

The blank represents
The record she keeps
You better look fast
You better not blink

Like an old record skips
And repeats again
From friends into lovers
To nothing again

Her pages keep turning and turning again
Each chapter gets shorter as it nears the end
