Her Mind

Faking smiles for those I love Seeming fine for those I love Making this flame burn a bit brighter Falling apart between night and day You'd be lucky if you knew the secret she beholds Looking through her dull tired eyes at the man who stands with a smile All here but yet her feelings feel so far from her own body Though her lips speak truth Her eyes tell lies Love never really comes her way Only heartache seems to find it's way to her heart The words that mean the most just hurt her For unknown beauty is set on this silver platter Never really know what could come her way Far from truth But in the verge of lies Faking smiles for everyone to see Seeming fine for everyone around Dreaming of the day love finds it's way Living the life everyone chose for me Hiding behind caving walls Freeing these emotions through words Mounted on the wall like some old trophy won for best fake smile Hid behind the mask These are the nights where the monsters like me come out of the dark Writing never makes it better Her mine filled with those jokes and words Her mind could be a book So many words So much pain Knowing she just can't wish it away Never able to find piece in this life
