Her Love,

These last two poems are in honor of Mrs. Annie L. Darden who I only got to know briefly but shared her love and life with me as if I was her own. When I look at you,I see all the wisdom of ages before me,When I look into your face,I see all that you have done for your family,When I hold your hands I feel all the years of work in the fields that went into those hands to clothe us,When I look at your feet,I see the long walks you took out in the plantation to feed us,When I look into your heart,I see the unconditinal love, warmth and passion that you have for your family,But when I stand back and see you,I see a young woman just starting out her life, graciously with love for GOD and her family.
