Her Laughter
her laughter
send all the clan
a-stagger
like nwa-mbari the hunter
on the hunters’ day
she laugh’d deeply
into this sea, our sea
where many a deep-gazing seer
spent many a day
gazing at the inner-most chambers
my niger’s chambers
& she spent whole nights
ah, whole nights of laughters!
