Her Grief

Lady what's happened to that radiant smile?
It has become a mask to hide grief,
Open up to me just for a little while,
Please do so for your own relief.

I'm always here for you to understand
The not so pleasant memories that drag you down
Why they're there in your beautiful mind so grand,
As I try to lift up that sorrowful frown.

I'm never gonna love anyone anymore,
I think my heart has set it in stone
Who I am truly and eternally for,
So you don't have to deal with these shadows alone.
