Henry the Hedgehog

On a lovely sunny morn Henry the lonely hedgehog Awoke with sun as it reached dawn As he heard some croaking frogs With birds a chirping everywhere And the frogs making their din Henry, looking here and there He gave a sleepy grin He'd woke up from hibernation All set for a brand new season Looking forward to a new adventure His waking gave him reason To say 'hello' to all around He felt real good today He has a chat on the muddy ground Then he went upon his way As he strolled along the path He saw old Polly Parrot Old Polly he did make him laugh He was chewing on a carrot It's not the fool that parrots eat But that's how Polly is They both were happy so to meet And spent their day in bliss

Thank you so much Robert, I do like writing these little kids poems as I call them, I give them to my young granddaughter, in fact I made her up an album with all my kiddie poems and illustrated them, she love it, take care......Vera

Yes Eve it was another addition to the childrens book which has just been published, we are very lucky to be on this small site as the woman that runs it is also a publisher,you are so kind giving me a 10+++ for this, once again my dear friend hugs back to you and please take care on the roads..................Vera..

Never stop posting Vera - your poems are wonderful and you need to start beleiving in your ability - i do not comment/ cut and paste for effect it is because I enjoy the works I comment on! Get more poems on here my friend and more exposure for your book - keep the dream going i too will do an e book of lenny the lizard as a tribute to my writing partner Darren watson:-) hugs jan xx
