Ever notice how some people get taken for granted. They're fine to have around when needed but when they aren't they're just not really wanted.
She's always there when needed.
She's at their beck and call;
But if she should need a hand,
No one's free at all.
When someone's down she's always there.
She's just a call away.
A cheery smile, some sympathy,
To brighten up their day;
But if she's feeling down today,
They'll leave her quite alone,
To get over what it is,
All by herself, alone.
Are you feeling sick today?
Just let her know about it.
She'll be there with soup and hugs.
You don't have to doubt it.
Mama's always been there.
That's just the way she is.
Sometimes she can help a lot,
But when she can't she gives.
She gives her love, she gives advice,
She tends and cleans and nurses.
But let her make just one mistake,
She gets remands and curses.
Mama's such a Know-It-All.
She's pushy and she's nosey.
So she turns and goes away,
And pretends everything is rosey.
