Help Me

I open the door
See you sitting there
I call your name
You turn around
And look at me
I tell you I need help
You get up, and take my hand
You sit me down, I jump up
Then you sit
I pull you up
“Why?”
I tell you that I can’t
You look at me, and say
“I know”
You reach to give me a hug
I slide to one side
“I know”
I hear you say
You look into my eyes
I tear up
You tell me to trust you
I tell you “how can I?”
One step at a time
 Let your light shine
Trust that I will walk side by side
