Help From An Old Lover Rondolet For Contest

Help from an Old Lover

                                                    His outstretched hand
was just beyond her slipp'ry reach.
                                                    His outstretched hand
was gentler than her heart could stand
                                           now--his tender gaze autumn’s peach
breeze-kissed . She grasped-- no need of speech--
                                                     his outstretched hand.
