Hello

I really don't like goodbyes I prefer hellos
Like planting a seed and then watching it grow
First much like a seedling and then the flower shows
Power becomes knowledge, what you hope to know.

I think about the darkness in the not so distant past
I see the storm brewing but how long will it last
It seems that all these things all must play their part
Without all the pieces the puzzle just falls apart.

The pieces of the puzzle lie scattered across the ground
As I go to pick them up some new ones I have found
Like a sunken treasure buried beneath the waves
There seems to be no survivors, nobody was saved.

Perhaps it just moved to a different time a different space
It just seems I have trouble with keeping up this pace
I didn't say goodbye I only meant to say hello
All I left behind you'd think I would have known.

The puzzle before me represents all the change
All these eyes shall see is all that still remains
That happiness is buried inside of all the pain
And everything just washes away with a little rain.
