He'Ll Still Be Himself
He'll Still Be Himself
He wrote a song so many times.
He just can't help it always rhymes.
The soul get's lost within the phrase.
Just like a rat lost in a maze.
Finding his way through all the turns.
Sometimes escapes, but never learns.
Sooner or later he goes back in.
Wondering around but just can't win.
He get's to where he can't go on.
His hope for hope is almost gone.
Wanting to just get off this shelf.
Knowing that he'll still be himself.
Nothing left but to go home.
He's had enough, too tired to roam.
But he still want's to get away.
Not wanting to see another day.
It doesn't matter where he goes.
Being him self's all that he knows.
He say's he just can't seem to lose.
I'm still myself lonesome man blues.
