Hell On a Soldier Defending Home
Off the plane, from landing,
upon a country, not yet, set free.
Realizing a year, out of, one's life,
is being used, to change, their history.
Allowed, only so much, to bring,
with the comforts, of home, being none.
Told the time, of one's self, is distribute,
by how much, of the mission, is done.
Dealing, with a certain, mind set,
of being, trap deeply, from within.
Always, put under control, by higher,
to not, be lured, in breaking, an army sin.
Having, to face, such animosity and danger,
From disgruntle people, who live, outside the wire.
Fearing every time, one goes out,
in either, being blown up, or receiving enemy fire.
Hoping people, left behind, back at home,
don't forget, the fact, and the soldier, they know, so well.
The fact, the soldier, of whom, they known,
along with, their buddies, are going through, relentless hell.
