Hell

Hell

My home is dark and in despair
A blackened pit in satan’s lair
Smoke and fire never ends
A haze of pain and each day blends
Screams and cries are all I hear
A life not lived is lived in fear
Darkness, darkness never leaves
Each day I’m drowning, cannot breathe
Blood has gathered on my tongue
Covered in it, forever young
When calls for help are all in vain
I surrender to it, to the pain
When those above just do not care
The prisoners will never fare
I listen to the babies cry,
Take a breath
And then I die.
