Hedgehog Wanted a Unique Canoe
Hedgehog did not want an ordinary plain willow or birch canoe.
She was a flashy brassy hedgehog; she wanted something new.
She told everyone she saw that she would be putting leaves together.
A new, lightweight canoe that would float in all kinds of weather.
Her relatives scoffed, her neighbors laughed. They told her it was silly.
She incorporated the help of her wizard cousin, Little Robotics Billy.
He spent a day eating all the brownies in her house, while he created.
A fancy leaf canoe, that was better than anything she had anticipated.
So now she floats around the pond in the fanciest canoe on the water.
Parents are finally proud of her. “There goes are brilliant daughter!”
Hedgehog has begged Billy to not make any more canoes like hers.
"Okay, as long as you keep me in brownies,” he often purrs.
