Heavy Is the Head
Heavy Is The Head
I know the world isn’t on my shoulders
And it isn’t all mine to bear.
But since I’ve decided to take it on
You’ll see how much I care.
Don’t worry about that bottle
The next one we can share.
And don’t worry about the next battle.
I promise, I’ll be with you there.
I know you said it’s not my job,
And I did; but I’ll pretend I didn’t hear.
Because it may not be my car,
But I’m behind the wheel; I’ll steer.
If life is just one great game
Then this level I will clear,
If you will stay along with me,
If you will stay near.
I may not be a Titan, Atlas is not my name.
But it is Sutarima, my soul is fire and is flame.
And I’ll burn down whatever troubles you can claim.
This place is harsh and wicked, and every day gets a little colder,
But remember as the flicker envelopes, and what we love smolders.
I know you said it wasn’t. But this world is on my shoulders.
