Heavy Hearts
Listen to poem:
Heavy hearts, ripped apart, lie scattered, splattered.
Fledgling feelings failed to bring blossom blooms.
Longing love left lingering
on the vine, fraught fruit, wrinkling withered.
No noble rot renders,
to save savor in wasted wine.
Fate faded, flame flicked down to off.
