Heavens Bestest Friend

There is a light in this world, it exists in you and me,
The beauty in the heart is brought out for all to see.
Kindness and grace, and all of the gentle things,
Settle in the heart, where we heal from old stings.
Mercy, forgiveness, and love, heaven's bestest friend,
Is its driving force, a soul that starts to mend.
Stepping through the shadows, we walk out of our night,
So we take our mask off, standing in the light.
With each mask we take off, we are finally free,
There is hope in this world, if we truly choose to be.
To give place to this light, yes, we can do it every day,
As we step out of darkness, casting the shadows away.
Weaving webs of tomorrow, from the light that we can be,
The beauty of this world is brought out, for all to see.
If seeing is believing, then we all know this is true,
When we walk in the light, Heaven, uses me and you.
