Heaven-Bound

With REVERENCE he approached the sacred ground
ENCOMPASSED by a haughty sense of pride,
Content in knowing he was heaven-bound,
That certain PREDILICTION, not denied;
CONSTERNATION showed at once, he could see
CONDEMNATION from above, then APATHY;
UNEARTHLINESS a practice he’d not tried.

Many of us probably hope that we will be secure in knowing we are "heaven bound" as we near the end of our days. This is quite a thought-provoking, yet brief verse. Well done! Your work stands well on its own, but if for a contest, I send winning wishes your way. Hugs, Carolyn
