Heaven Is Waiting
Carefully written on journal page
Unknown woman's broken heart
Widowed at so young an age
Tears on date life fell apart.
Writing of love filled with passion
Two souls who denied mortality
Parted in most brutal fashion
Such is nature of war's reality.
His spirit she felt, held so dear
Sustaining her through lonely years
Hair turned silver eyes grew dim
She wrote of heaven, faith and him.
