Heaven In Life's Recess
HEAVEN IN LIFE'S RECESS
You travel on time weaving the tapestry of life,
get entangled in the strands of complex web,
fail to find the escape route in chasm of strife.
Thus, end up digging before time your grave.
In this transient world created ever so beautiful
the enlightened one doesn’t find the reason why
priceless life should suffer entering the cesspool…
the question asked and answered in Zen philosophy.
Soaking the splendor of a new dawn, a new sunrise
take a vow you’ll change the course of life, a river.
Stop comparing yourself with others, you’ll be wise,
abandon the imaginary fear, worries will disappear.
On the garden path you paved walk in your own pace,
don’t run a race of futile competition for elusive fame.
Being an unsolicited judge will please you in no case,
in your ego’s defense don’t start the blaming game.
Show random kindness to strangers, satiate your soul,
help the needy, honor sentiments, bloom happiness.
In the mortal life you’ll blissfully play a divine role
and discover an earthly heaven in your life’s recess.
