Heaven Hasn'T Smiled In a While

The eagle I sent wont ever come back
I see my prayers turning over correcting the past
But you know that I don’t do this for me

We can steal the devils fire
With it we’ll light our own match
We’ll try our best to keep our intentions in tact
But it wont always work out that way
It was all swept away with the wooden ark
If I gave you my soul
Would you give it some thought?
The price that I pay
I can’t do this for free
And I hope you can still smile for me
Cause heaven hasn’t smiled in a while
