Heaven Can Wait

HEAVEN CAN WAIT

I am feeling breathless
I could be in a mess
I really hope I make it through
So many things I want to do
But if I have to say goodbye
No one can say I didn’t try
Heaven can wait
Heaven can wait for me
I hope it’s not too late for me 
Please close those pearly gates for me
Heaven can wait
I want to feel the sun on my face
Please take me to a better place
I want to dive right in to the sea
And be with dolphins feeling free
I might even climb a tree
Even though heights frighten me
I’m just not ready yet
It’s not my time
Don’t want to remember, I can’t forget
Don’t shine that light on me
The tunnel I don’t want to see
Heaven can wait
The angels speak to me softly
But heaven can wait for me
This is not my time
Heaven can wait for me now.
