Heaven and Hell 1
Heaven and Hell
Alone and poverty-stricken, she turned a prostitute
There lived close by an old sage on a Heaven-bound quest
Whose mind never forgave the sins of this destitute
But her mind always dwelt on GOD with the sole request
To save her from Hell and to give in HIM her final rest.
Both of them ,in time, died ; to Heaven went the woman
And the sage went to Hell, to the surprise of the two
‘How could this be?’, sage asked ,to get the reply that did stun
‘ True it’s that she sinned, but kept her mind pure and to God glued
For letting your mind dwell on her sins, you got your due’
