Heaven
Heaven is what God needs it to be
Different for you and different for me
To the baby, Heaven is in its mothers arms
Safe from fright, safe from all harm
To the soldier, Heaven is his homeland
Not in this foxhole in the sand
To the lovely young bride
Heaven is her groom by her side
To the old man, Heaven is his beautiful wife
Who he will join when he leaves this life
To the child, Heaven is a bag of sweets
Toys and games and lots of treats
To the prisoner, Heaven is to be set free
Never to be judged by you or by me
Heaven could be walking on a golden street
Or dancing with a new love you recently meet
To a mother, Heaven is her family
Under her wings tucked safely
To the sick, Heaven is to be cured
Another chance at life secured
To me, Heaven is surrounded by love
With my Father up above
To God Heaven is communion with all who love him
For eternity never coming to an end
Our pens can never quite describe Heaven's glory
That is the mystery of God's grand story
But he says he will prepare for us a majestic place
A Heaven full of his love and his grace.
