Hearts Broken From Words Unspoken

So many words unspoken…
                                 two sad hearts left broken.

For he was my line to my life and my soul to my mate,
we shared a love beyond life; two divine beings of fate.

So much pain came from such deep love and concern,
now for those words of compassion I simply do yearn.

Why was our last conversation so utterly unexpressed?
This must be our kismet from heartache’s greatest test.

Love gone wrong in silence without comfort and ease,
I’m like a willow weeping, tissues of tears in the breeze.

Voiceless were you, but written was my farewell note,
but I left out our verse from that EE Cummings’ quote.

Saturated in loneliness will I be without you, my dear,

when the medallion sun sets, your face shall appear.

The words left unsaid seem to be the hardest to hear-

I would tell you I still love you, so passionately sincere.

                     So many words unverbalized…
two sad hearts left internalized.
