Heartless Sorrow

I felt heartless sorrow
From the start, even without shedding a tear
There’s no tomorrow
So, have some heart…have a heart of no fear

This heartless winter, winter
It’s getting colder…
I feel like a thumb’s splinter…
I’m getting bolder…

I’m looking closer to the edge with a frown
Towards the edge of a breakdown…breakdown…
This heartless sorrow is going round town
It gives me some tears to shed deep down
This heartless sorrow
Gives me no tomorrow,
But gives me today to borrow
Happiness
Though sadness
Is a yesterday’s notion
You’re my one and only devotion

I felt heartless sorrow
I want to come back home, back home, back home
There’s no tomorrow
So, haven’t you a heart? Looks like you don’t, my garden gnome

This heartless winter, winter
It’s getting colder…
I feel like a thumb’s splinter…
I’m getting bolder…

I’m looking closer to the edge with a frown
Towards the edge of a breakdown…breakdown…
This heartless sorrow is going round town
It gives me some tears to shed deep down
This heartless sorrow
Gives me no tomorrow,
But gives me today to borrow
Happiness
Though sadness
Is a yesterday’s notion
You’re my one and only devotion

I felt heartless sorrow
There’s no tomorrow,
But there’s a yesterday’s tomorrow
To look forward to
To look forward to…
Only you and I will know what to do
When the time comes, so true
I love you…I love you…
Tearless for yesterday’s tomorrow —
This is true…this is true
If only I wouldn’t feel this sorrow…this sorrow…
