Heartfelt Talk

It Was Just the Other Day, I Guess,
That I Had a Talk with My Heart
And We Agreed the Time Had Come,
  to Make Another Start.

That Seemed to Be the Answer,
We've Been Alone So Long.
But We Seem to Have a Problem
And We May Have Been All Wrong.

Do Good Guys Really Wear White Hats?
Or Are They Somehow in Disguise?
I Wish We Had the Answer,
We Are Neither One Too Wise.

My Heart Went in One Direction
And of Course I Went the Other.
We Didn't Agree at All
And My Heart Has Made Me Suffer.

Now We'll Have to Talk Again,
Because We Certainly Don't Agree.
I Want to Have it All,
But My Heart Says That Can't Be.
