Heartbreak Letting Go

Seems that every time I think I’ve got it made
Got it worked out, finally got it smooth
Something always comes along
And it gets snatched away 
And I’m back to zero, again.

Again and again, and so it goes,
I’ve worked so hard
To get it back to zero again.

Seems that every time I finally make some ground
Make my mark, set down some stakes
Something always comes around
And takes it all away
And I’m back to zero, again.

Again and again, and so it goes
I’ve worked so hard 
To get it back to zero again.
Yeah, and I’m back to zero again.
